The annual tuition may be paid in full by May 1, 2012 or by the 10 month payment option.1 Families choosing the 10 month payment option will make the first installment payment on May 1, 2012. The remaining installment payments will be made every month on the first of the month, beginning August 1, 2012 and ending April 1, 2013. A non-refundable application fee of $300 per child is to be remitted with the completed application form.

Tuition discounts are available when more than one child in a family is enrolled in TMA. TMA offers a 10% tuition discount for each additional child enrolled for families with two or more children enrolled concurrently.

Payments are due on the first day of the month. If payment is not received in the school office by the 10th day of the month, a late charge of $50 will be assessed. A charge of $25 will be assessed on all returned checks. If payment in full has not been received in the school office by the 16th day of the month, the student may be removed from The Montessori Academy.

The Montessori Academy is chartered as a nonprofit organization. Parents of all children enrolled at The Montessori Academy shall work five (5) hours of community service per semester either on site, or at home (approved in advance). In order to ensure that the five (5) hours per semester are fulfilled by all parents, a $100 Fall Community Service Fee deposit is required with the August tuition payment and a $100 Spring Community Service Fee is required with the January tuition payment. For each hour up to five (5) hours worked during the fall semester, $20 per hour will be applied to the $100 spring semester Community Service fee. For each hour not worked during the fall semester, $20 per hour will be retained by The Montessori Academy. For each hour worked during the spring semester up to five (5) hours, $20 per hour may be deducted from the last tuition payment.

1Parents selecting the ten month payment option are required to participate in the Tuition Refund Plan. The full premium cost, 2.9% of annual tuition, is due August 1, 2012. Participation in the Tuition Refund Plan is optional for parents choosing to prepay the annual tuition by May 1, 2012.

Extended Day payments are made at the beginning of the month for which the care is contracted. An additional $10 per month discount on Extended Day is allowed for the second student in a family enrolled in the Extended Day Program. August Extended Day payments will be prorated to reflect the actual number of days used; for all other months the payment is as specified in the Extended Day Fee Schedule.

Any Extended Day hours outside the specified hours on the signed Extended Day Contract will be charged at the drop-in rate listed on the Extended Day Fee Schedule.

Pre-Arranged Drop-In Care will be available (if space is available) from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. at the rate listed on the Extended Day Fee Schedule.

Winter and Spring Break
Care is available on designated days during Winter and Spring Break for all students enrolled in TMA. For students with an Extended Day contract, care during school hours (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) is available at a daily rate of $28. Students without an Extended Day contract can also arrange for care during 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at a daily rate of $28. All reservations will be on a prepaid basis.

NOTE:
Parents of students enrolled in Extended Day will owe an annual supply fee of $25 per family. This supply fee is due and payable with the first Extended Day payment on August 1, 2012.
