The Kindergarten program at TMA is a full day program¹ for your kindergarten age child. Students spend half the day in a preschool class where they participate in Montessori activities with other 3, 4, and 5 year olds. For the other half of the day, the five year olds come together as their own community in a separate classroom. This unique approach results in four teachers focused on the progress of the kindergarten child and combines the benefits of a multi-aged classroom (opportunity to be a peer leader/teacher and role model) with a single-aged classroom where the child can focus on strengthening his academic skills, work habits, and social skills.

The goals of the Kindergarten program are to:

The student–teacher ratio for this class is 1 teacher for each 10 children. There are two teachers in each classroom so there are 20 children in each class.
