The Preschool program at TMA includes children in the age range of 3 to 6 years. There are several program options available:

• Two days per week for 3 year olds only (T-TH)
  • Full day
  • Half day
• Three days per week (M-W-F)
  • Full day
  • Half day
• Five days per week
  • Full day
  • Half day

There are two half-day sessions available: morning and afternoon. The morning session is from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session is from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. The full day session is from 8:30-3:30 p.m. Children enrolled in the full-day session will eat lunch and those who wish to nap will have the opportunity to do so. For children who do not nap, Montessori curriculum materials are available. Before and after-school care is also available. See our Fee Schedule for options and costs.

The student–teacher ratio is 1 teacher for each 12 children. There are two teachers in each classroom so there will be 24 children in each preschool class.

The goals of the preschool program are to provide a Montessori experience for students which includes learning experiences in the major curriculum areas:

• Practical Life
• Sensorial
• Mathematics
• Language
• Cultural Subjects
• Geography and Science
• Art
• Music
• Movement

and to introduce Spanish as a second language.
